Head of the Body

" Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ." Ephesians 4:15

My child, just as a garden is made up of many varieties of flowers, My body—the Church on earth—includes many kinds of gifted people. Roses, carnations, snapdragons, daisies, petunias—all blooming together make a beautiful bouquet of praise to Me. I need your gifts. Serve Me joyfully!

Whether I am an eye, an ear, a mouth, or a leg, You have created me as an important part of Your body, Lord. Only as we look to You—our Head—can the body—Your Church— function as You intend. I praise You for gifting each one of us to build up the Church. Without You, Lord, we are nothing.

Two heads may be better than one, but not when it comes to the spiritual world.
