Vision

"Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." Exodus 33:18

O Lord, I need you to know that you are you!
I need to have a glorious God in view;
To see your plans, so infinite and wise,
I need a mighty God before my eyes.
Show me your glory! Show yourself anew;
Lord, open up my eyes of faith to you.

So often, when I face which way to go
The problems seem to multiply and grow;
I do not see you standing, waiting, there,
So full of power for me, to do, to dare!

O God, I know that in my present state
I could not stand the sight of you, so great;
